Since 1991, KR Training has been offering high quality, affordable firearms and self-defense courses. We’re the oldest and largest firearms training school in Central Texas, staffed by male and female instructors with decades of combined experience and national level credentials in firearms training, defensive shooting and tactics, competition shooting, threat and risk assessment, law enforcement and military service. In addition to teaching our own courses, we host multiple national level trainers every year.

Progressive Defensive Pistol Skills Program
From beginner to competent defensive shooter
Our Defensive Pistol Skills program is a progressive training program designed and developed to take a new shooter and provide them with the skills through training to make them competent and confident with their handgun in a defensive encounter.

Core Curriculum for defensive fundamentals
Our Core Curriculum provides students with the necessary defensive shooting foundational skills that will be further developed and improved upon through the student’s elective course selections.

Focus on your individual strengths and weaknesses
Students will choose from several elective course cycles to focus on those areas of strength and weakness on their path to graduation and earning a KR Training Challenge coin.
